One of the most common things we hear from new people is this:
“I didn’t realize you offered more than just CrossFit classes.”
So I wanted to take a minute and clearly explain how training works at Fountain City Fitness, the different options we offer, and who each one tends to fit best.
The short version?
You’re not locked into anything forever. We want you in the right environment for where you are right now.
Here’s how it breaks down.
1:1 Personal Training
Every new athlete starts here — even if it’s just one session.
This gives us a chance to:
- Learn your history, injuries, goals, and comfort level
- Make sure movements feel safe and confident
- Build an actual relationship instead of guessing from across the room
Ongoing 1:1 is a great fit if:
- You’re newer to the gym and want every rep watched
- You’re working around an injury or specific limitation
- You’ve identified a weakness and want targeted programming
- Your schedule doesn’t match standard class times
Some people stay here short-term, some longer — both are normal.
Legends (55+)
Legends is designed specifically for athletes who are aging, getting back into fitness, or newer to structured training.
This group focuses on:
- Balance and stability
- Core strength
- Safe, effective weightlifting
- Confidence in daily movement
The goal isn’t to “train like you’re 25.”
The goal is to age gracefully and keep doing the things you love outside the gym.
This program is intentionally programmed for that outcome.
Small Group Training (Up to 4 people)
If we’re being honest, this might be the sweet spot for a lot of adults.
You get:
- Individualized coaching and adjustments
- A social environment without the chaos of a large class
- Challenging strength and conditioning work that’s still tailored to you
This is ideal for athletes who want:
- More attention than a large class
- Structure without full 1:1
- Accountability and community in a smaller setting
CrossFit (Large Group Classes)
Yes — CrossFit is for anyone.
Our classes are written for the general public and cover all 10 domains of fitness: strength, conditioning, mobility, coordination, and more. Every workout has a specific goal, and our coaches scale movements and loads to match each athlete’s ability.
This works well if you:
- Enjoy a high-energy group environment
- Like variety in your training
- Want a well-rounded fitness program that adapts to you
You don’t need to “be fit already” to do CrossFit here.
The most important thing to know
You are not locked into one option forever.
People move between 1:1, Small Group, Legends, and CrossFit all the time as their needs, schedules, and goals change. Our job is to help guide that — not force you into a box.
What’s the next step?
The best place to start is a No Sweat Intro.
It’s simply a conversation where we:
- Learn about you
- Answer questions
- Recommend a starting point that actually makes sense
No pressure. No workouts. No guessing.
👉 Book your No Sweat Intro here, and we’ll take it from there.
