Youth Summer Sports Training


What: 4 Week Strength and Conditioning Program for any and all athletes from 14-18

When: Starting June 3 and running through June 28th

60 min Training Sessions are every M/W/F at 10:30am

Who: Varsity (High School) will meet at 10:30 am

"Junior Varsity" Program (Ages 9-13) (Details to Come)

The focus of each class is on how well your child moves, not how much or how fast. Every class is loaded with age-appropriate excitement coupled with learning the basic functional movements. We want to see your kids grow in strength and skill as well as in confidence and character, and above all have fun!

Our Pre-Teens program is a strength and conditioning class developed specifically for the teenage-“ish” age range and is always scalable based upon your athletes ability. We teach our young athletes to move correctly and because the workouts are constantly varied, your child is less likely to fall prey to the overuse injuries that plague common training routines and year-round sports. Our program can help any middle school athlete improve his or her speed, coordination, strength, and endurance.

"Varsity" Program (Ages 14-18)

High School athletes needs vary in degree as the body is ready to start adapting to heavier weights and external forces. Class focuses will be built around progressively overloading the body through weight training and increasing speed and agility through proper body mechanics and plyometric drills. Put in to practice, this looks like hitting the major compound lifts (squat, deadlift, pressing) weekly while tying in accessory lifts before focusing on conditioning and speed drills.

Our Teens program will be led by 10+ seasons of high school coaching experience and bring the intensity needed to create a better all-around athlete regardless of the sport. Simply said: The Stronger Kid Wins. We'll improve strength AND speed as well as empower athletes to move properly for long term success.  Our program can help any high school athlete improve his or her speed, coordination, strength, and endurance.

Your Athlete's Coach:

Hello, I'm Coach Travis, and I'll be your child's coach! Speed and explosiveness has always been my passion and I carried that with me to college where I ran track and field, specializing in the 400m dash. After college I spent 8 years as the Head Varsity Sprints Coach at Blue Valley North High School. In that time, our sprints group experienced immense success on both the men's and women's side. I successfully had an All State male 100m runner in 7 of those 8 years as well as numerous All-State accolades on the female side culminating with a school record state championship in the girl's 4x400m relay. With 10 seasons of experience coaching kids, I'm dedicated to helping them gain confidence and setting them up for success as they grow.

  • In 2022 I was recognized as one of the KCCTFCA Track & Field Assistant Coaches of the Year for Sprinting.

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
